After years of fundraising and renovations, the community gathered Wednesday, May 27 for a ribbon cutting and open house to celebrate the Community Caring Center’s new and improved facility. The event began with the cutting of the ribbon followed by opportunities for the public to tour the newly refurbished facility, meet the team, and learn about how the nonprofit is working to serve those in need.

Before the ribbon cutting began, Community Caring Executive Director Kristie Cooper shared that the nonprofit is growing, and renovations will help it continue to serve more families.

“We are averaging about 1,700 families every month, and they get to come once per month, so that's 1,700 unique families. So, this area has really grown, the need is growing with it, and it’s support from people like you that keeps us going for over 30 years. So, we are looking forward to another 20 years with the renovations in these buildings,” Cooper said.
