Home Run!
Paris Junior College sophomore Brandie Phillips gets the put out in left field.

Just two years after graduating from Azle High School, Brandie Phillips found herself living out a dream shared by countless young softball players.

The 2024 Azle graduate and current sophomore outfielder at Paris Junior College helped lead the Dragons to the National Junior College Athletic Association Division I Softball World Series in Oxford, Alabama, where the team advanced to the Final Four before its season came to an end.

“It’s awesome,” Phillips said of competing in the College World Series. “It’s like living out the dream every kid has when they start playing this sport, and I get to do it with my best friends.”
