Questions Reno National Day of Prayer incident

Citizens of Reno should be deeply concerned about what occurred at the Reno Community Center during a recent National Day of Prayer gathering, and about the larger questions it raises regarding transparency, accountability, and the concentration of power at City Hall.

Participants first gathered outside Reno City Hall for prayer. The day before the event, the organizer informed the Director of Public Works the group intended to conclude with prayer inside the community center. After the outdoor portion ended, city staff was contacted, and a public works employee allowed the group into the facility.
