Holleman, Balderas lead Azle's All-District baseball honors
Senior Mason Holleman was chosen All-District Third Baseman and will play in the North Texas High School Coaches Association All-Star game.

Azle High School head baseball coach Stephen Smith recently announced the District 5-5A All-District selections and team awards following the conclusion of the 2026 season.

District rules prohibit the release of all-district teams until every team in the district has completed its season. The final delay came as district rival Aledo continued its postseason run, ultimately capturing the 2026 UIL Class 5A state championship.

The Hornets finished the season 17-14 overall, placing fifth in District 5-5A and narrowly missing the playoffs. Despite falling short of postseason play, Azle secured its ninth consecutive winning season.
