Young players hit the court at Azle girls’ basketball camp

The future of Lady Hornets basketball was on display this week as a record number of young athletes attended the Azle Girls Basketball Camp.

The camp opened June 8 and concluded June 11 at Azle High School. It was open to girls entering first through sixth grades, while a separate session was held for seventh, eighth and ninth-grade players.

Campers in grades two through six attended morning sessions from 8:30-11:30 a.m. Older participants took part in afternoon workouts from noon-3 p.m.
