Fresh off her graduation from Azle High School, Lillee Morrison opened the first night of the Parker County Sheriff’s Posse Rodeo with a performance of the national anthem, singing before a crowd gathered for one of the county’s most well-known annual events.
The opportunity marked a memorable moment for the longtime singer, who has been performing since she was 3 years old and spent her senior year at Azle High School as a member of both the choir program and the Emerald Dazzlers.
“It feels really great,” Morrison said. “I’ve never performed at the Parker County Sheriff’s Posse Rodeo before. It’s a great honor to do this, and I’m very grateful.”
