Assistant to the City Manager Susie Hiles was honored Friday, June 12 during a come-and-go retirement reception, marking the end of a nearly 27-year career with the city of Azle.

The reception was at City Hall, where city officials, employees and the community stopped by to congratulate Hiles and thank her for her years of service.

During the reception, Mayor Randa Goode awarded Hiles a plaque and proclaimed June 12, 2026, as Susie Hiles’ Day in the city of Azle.
