The Azle Lions Club will host a car show beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday June 27 at 404 Main Place, 404 W. Main St. in Azle, in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary.

Entry fee is $25, and the event will begin with registration from 9-11 a.m. Raffles including a 50/50 and drawings will take place. Twenty-five awards will also be presented including a best car, best truck, best patriotic entry and a best beard award, all starting at 1 p.m.

“There's a lot of guys that have beards, so it'd be cool to just have a beard (award), line up all the guys with their beards and pick the best beard because they're proud of their beard. So, I thought we'll have a best beard contest (and) just make it fun,” Lions Club President Brandon Reese told The Azle News.
