Jennifer Parnell grew up in Azle, graduating from Azle High School in 1997 before earning an associate degree from Tarrant County Community College and a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas.
Since January 2022, Parnell has served as executive director for the Azle Area Chamber of Commerce. Prior to joining the chamber staff, she worked for Purple Care for nine years.
In 2020, while working at Purple Care, she became an ambassador for the chamber and attended the chamber luncheons as well as some of the ribbon cuttings. The following year, she was selected to serve on the board of directors, and when former executive director Shelia Pippins retired, she decided to apply for the position.
