May signs with Tarleton after JUCO World Series run
Azle High School graduate Austin May has committed to Tarleton State University to continue his baseball career.

Former Azle High School standout Austin May is headed to NCAA Division I baseball after signing with Tarleton State following a successful career at Seminole State College.

The 2024 Azle graduate helped lead the Trojans to the 2026 NJCAA Division I Baseball World Series in Grand Junction, Colorado. A 6-foot-4 right-handed pitcher, May was used primarily out of the bullpen as Seminole State finished 48-14, captured the Region II/South Central District championship and earned a berth in the national tournament.

The NJCAA Division I Baseball World Series was held May 23-29 at Sam Suplizio Field in Grand Junction. Although the Trojans dropped both of their games, May said the experience is something he will never forget.
