For the past several years, “Azle is growing” has become almost an unofficial slogan around these parts. Between the influx of new businesses, residents and developments, this small-town community is now bustling with opportunity — and the proof is in the pudding.

According to the latest population estimate released by the North Central Texas Council of Governments, Azle’s population is estimated at 15,839 this year — nearly 800 more residents than in 2025.

City Manager Amber Beard told The Azle News that NCTCOG calculated the estimate by using a variety of demographic and housing data, including U.S. Census information and regional growth trends.
