I trust everyone had a wonderful July 4th, celebrating our country’s 250th birthday. As we are almost halfway through the summer months, I wanted to take the opportunity to update our community on several items for the upcoming school year.
Thanks to your support, the projects approved in the November 2023 bond election will be complete and operational for the start of school this year. A reminder: this bond election focused on student capacity and classroom facilities for prekindergarten through eighth grade. From a campus perspective, this included a new Azle Junior High campus, additions and renovations at Forte Junior High, and renovations at several existing elementary campuses. As construction costs have continued to fluctuate across the state, I am proud to share that all of these projects are on budget and on schedule. Furniture has been delivered and is being installed as construction crews work on final touches and cleanup. You may have also noticed playground work at several elementary campuses.
