EMPHC Coffee Hour set July 16
Eagle Mountain Pregnancy Help Center will host a Coffee Hour for ministry and community leaders from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 16 at 10328 Jacksboro Highway in Fort Worth.
The event will allow attendees to meet with the staff and board while learning more about the organization’s outreach and services.

Popcorn Players show opens July 17
Azle Popcorn Players will present “Evil Doings at Queen Toot’s Tomb” beginning Friday, July 17.
The 1920s comic thriller follows an expedition that unseals an ancient burial chamber and faces the curse of Queen Tootsiwootsi.
Performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. July 17, 18, 24 and 25, along with 2:30 p.m. Sunday shows July 19 and 26.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for military members, students and seniors. Sunday tickets are $10 for all seats.
Rock out to ‘90s recital July 18
Oh, Mylanta! The Azle Music & Enrichment Academy is rewinding the clock back to the ‘90s for a summer recital Saturday, July 18, at 404 W. Main St.
From 10 a.m.-2 p.m., attendees can don their scrunchies and rock out to a totally rad celebration filled with ‘90s music, performances and nostalgia as AMEA students take the stage and show off what they’ve been working on.

AISD’s Night at the Ballpark set July 24
Azle Independent School District takes everyone out to the ball game Friday, July 24, at Globe Life Field, 734 Stadium Drive in Arlington.
The community is invited to wear green and white to show their Hornet pride while enjoying a fun-filled evening of baseball, school spirit and community celebration.

Kids take over The Feedlot July 25
Mark your calendars for Saturday, July 25, as kids take over The Feedlot from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. during a car show at 225 Church St.
During this free event, local kids will run their own booths and sell products they’ve created while learning real-world skills.

Meanwhile, car enthusiasts can also marvel at the various vehicles on display.
The car show will be open to all cars and awards will be presented to outstanding vehicles. Attendees can look forward to other vendors as well as food trucks and family-friendly fun.

Battle of the Badges set Aug. 3, Aug. 7
It’s police vs. fire in Azle’s Battle of the Badges, a community blood drive featuring a friendly competition between the Azle Police Department and Azle Fire Department.
From 3:30-6:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 3, at First Methodist Azle, 200 Church St., donors can give blood during the Azle Area Ministerial Alliance’s bimonthly drive and choose which department gets their vote. A second opportunity comes from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, at Azle City Hall, 505 W. Main St., when donors can give blood and vote for their favorite department.
All donors will receive a $25 e-gift card and a Battle of the Badges T-shirt.
Community clothing swap due Aug. 8
Revive United Methodist Church will host a clothing swap from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8 at 404 W. Main St. in Azle. Bring clean, lightly used clothing, browse and select from clothing others have donated.
The first 250 families will receive a free swag bag. Drawings for $100 Walmart gift cards throughout the event will also be included, as well as free hot dogs.
