The Parker County Commissioners Court is exploring the creation of a Chapter 391 subregional planning commission as it continues searching for legal options to address concerns surrounding a proposed large-scale data center.

The update came during a June 30 special Commissioners Court meeting, where Parker County Judge Pat Deen said county officials are evaluating whether to establish a local Chapter 391 agreement or participate in a regional agreement with neighboring counties.

During the meeting, Deen said no formal permit application for a data center has been submitted to the county.
