Azle PD Arrests

The Azle Police Department reported the following felony and DWI arrests during the period from June 21 to July 4.

• Mason Turner, 31, was arrested June 27 in the 1300 block of Kerry Lane and charged with assault of a family or household member by impeding breathing or circulation. He remained in jail as of July 13 in lieu of $15,000 bond.
• Bryan Broemser, 40, was arrested June 27 in the 200 block of N. Stewart Street and charged with possession of controlled substance in penalty group 1 or 1-B, less than 1 gram. He posted a $1,500 bond June 29 and was released from jail.
• Kayla Shumpert, 35, was arrested June 28 in the 1100 block of Boyd Road and charged with assaulting a peace officer or judge. She posted a $50,000 bond the following day and was released from jail.
• James Fontenot, 35, was arrested June 29 in the 8100 block of Moran Road and charged with driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.15 or higher. He posted a $1,000 bond the following day and was released from jail.
• Andrea McElhaney, 55, was arrested June 29 in the 100 block of Avondale Avenue and charged with possession of a controlled substance in penalty group 1 or 1-B, less than 1 gram. She posted a $1,000 bond July 5 and was released from jail.
• Ezekiel Armendariz, 33, was arrested July 4 in the 1500 block of Southeast Parkway and charged with possession of a controlled substance in penalty group 2, 1-4 grams. He posted a $1,500 bond July 6 and was released from jail.
• Shawn Green, 43, was arrested July 4 in the 400 block of Sandy Beach Road and charged with driving while intoxicated with an open alcohol container. He posted a $1,000 bond the following day and was released from jail.
• Juan Martin Najar Santoyo, 26, was arrested July 4 in the 1000 block of Boyd Road and charged with driving while intoxicated, second offense. He posted a $750 bond the following day and was released from jail.
