A crowd estimated at more than 60,000 people attended the 41st annual Parker County Peach Festival, July 11 in historic downtown Weatherford. The festival, created in 1984, is held on the second Saturday of July each year. The mission of the festival is to celebrate and promote the agricultural heritage of Parker County by providing a fun, family-friendly event that highlights the local peach industry and showcases the community’s talents.

Parker County was officially designated as the Peach Capital of Texas in 1991. The Parker County Peach Festival recently received the Best in Texas Award from the Texas Festival and Events Association in 2025.

The event featured more than 200 arts, crafts, food and activity booths. Highlights of the event included peachy eats including peach cobbler, pies, ice cream, teas and fresh Parker County peaches. The event included two main stages of entertainment, two children’s activity areas, the Peach Pedal Bike Ride, a “42” domino tournament and peach food competitions.
