More than 100 incoming seventh- through ninth-grade football players took the field at Azle High School this week as first-year head football coach Wilson Rigg hosted his inaugural Hornet Advanced Football Camp.

The four-day camp, held July 13-16, is designed to introduce young players to the expectations, terminology and fundamentals of the Hornet football program while helping create a smooth transition from junior high to varsity football.

"The main objective of this camp is to familiarize the kids with Azle football’s ways of doing things as a program," Rigg said.
