Parker County indictments

A Parker County grand jury met July 9 in Weatherford to consider evidence in criminal cases presented by the Parker County District Attorney’s office. An indictment is a formal accusation and is not evidence of guilt. All defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

The grand jury handed down 32 indictments; among them were indictments against three Springtown residents, two Azle residents and one person who lives in Weatherford near Azle.

• Lance Lavelle Brewton, 62, of Springtown, was indicted on one count of failure to comply with a duty to register as a sex offender for life/90 day. The charge is a second-degree felony.
• Juan Antonio Garcia, 26, of Azle, was indicted on one count unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. The charge is a third-degree felony.
• Barry Dwight Jackson, 52, of Azle, was indicted on one count of continuous violence against the family and one count of assault of a family or household member with a previous conviction. Both charges are third-degree felonies.
• Kyle Andrew Langeberg, 40, of Springtown, was indicted on two counts of criminal mischief, impair or interrupt a public power supply, less than $150,000. The charge is a third-degree felony.
• Lenice Renee Linthicum, 46, of Springtown, was indicted on one count of possession of a controlled substance in penalty group 1 or 1B, less than 1 gram. The charge is a state jail felony.
• Cayden Dakota Orona, 17, of Weatherford, was indicted on one count of theft of a firearm. The charge is a state jail felony.
