AHS baseball earns national academic honor for sixth straight year

Success in the classroom continues to be a hallmark of the Azle High School baseball program.

In addition to having players recognized with Academic All-State honors, the Hornets have once again earned the Team Academic Excellence Award from the American Baseball Coaches Association, marking the sixth consecutive year the program has received the national honor.

The Team Academic Excellence Award recognizes high school baseball programs that demonstrate outstanding achievement in the classroom. To qualify, a team must post a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.3.
