Around Texas, coaches simply call it "Coaching School."
Officially known as the Texas High School Coaches Association Coaching School and Convention, the annual event has long served as the unofficial beginning of a new school year for Texas high school athletics.
The 94th annual Coaching School and Convention was held July 19-21 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston. The event rotates between Houston and San Antonio. Fort Worth previously was part of the rotation but is no longer a host city.
