After years of hunger-fueled trips to Lake Worth, Azle residents no longer need to cross the road — or the bridge — to get to Chick-fil-A.

One of Texas’ most popular fast-food chains opened its doors at 417 Northwest Parkway July 30, as hundreds of customers donned their best cow attire to celebrate the grand opening and “Eat Mor Chikin.”

As the Azle Area Chamber of Commerce honored the occasion with a ribbon cutting ceremony — and Mayor Randa Goode proclaimed July 30 “Chick-fil-A Day” in Azle — owner and operator Mike Tipton shared how he and his wife, Tina, were able to bring the highly anticipated Chick-fil-A to Azle.
