AHS volleyball builds on 30-win season
This is head volleyball coach Kenley Buckholt’s fourth season to lead the Lady Hornets program.

The Lady Hornets enter the 2026 volleyball season with an experienced group of returning players, several promising underclassmen and expectations of returning to the playoffs.

Head coach Kenly Buckholt enters her ninth year with Azle ISD and fourth season leading the Lady Hornets.

Azle is coming off a 30-win season, finishing 30-13 overall and 10-2 in district play in 2025. The Lady Hornets’ season ended earlier than they hoped, however, with a loss to Grapevine in the bidistrict round of the playoffs.
