The First Methodist Church of Azle hosted the 26th annual Magnolia Banquet Saturday, Aug. 8. The annual event gave Christian women in the community an opportunity to connect through fellowship, faith and shared inspiration.
Table viewing began at 5:30 p.m., and at 6 p.m., B.J. Collins, a key banquet founder, gave the blessing and invocation. Then guests took their seats for a meal prepared and served by men from the community.
Banquet organizer Peggy Davis took the stage and introduced the speaker for this year’s banquet, Cynthia Yanof, a Christian author and podcaster. Yanof shared with guests how to live out their Christian faith with “structural integrity” in everyday life. The event concluded with everyone singing “Amazing Grace.”
