Congressional staff visit AML Aug. 24

Staff from Congressman Craig Goldman's office will be in the Azle Library Community Room from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24 to help area residents with passports, Medicare issues and other government assistance questions. No sign-up is required, and there is no charge.

Waggin Ranch pet adoption set Aug. 29

In partnership with the Azle Animal Shelter, Waggin Ranch Boarding will host its grand opening and pet adoption celebration from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29 at 12258 S. Farm-to-Market Road 730.

During this free event, attendees can meet adoptable puppies, snap a photo in the photo booth, partake in giveaways and tour one of Azle’s newest businesses.

FFA hosts Back-to-School Bash Aug. 29

Get ready to kick off the new school year with a splash of fun and excitement at the Azle FFA Back to School Bash Saturday, Aug. 29.

From 5:30-8:30 p.m., Azle students and parents are invited to the AZTex Arena, 1234 Park St., to enjoy an evening filled with an inflatable waterslide, cornhole, kickball, 9 Square in the Air and delicious food.

Low-cost pet vaccinations set Sept. 5

Bring your dog or cat to Russell Feed & Supply at 1312 Northwest Parkway in Azle between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5 for low-cost services.

Services offered include vaccinations, micro-chipping, fecal testing, heartworm testing and heartworm, flea and tick prevention.

Sting Fling arrives Sept. 12

One of Azle’s hallmark events, the Sting Fling Festival, is slated for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12 on Azle’s Main Street, Central Park and at 404 Main Place.

Sting Fling is a one-day festival that features affordable, wholesome family entertainment. Don’t miss a host of vendors, festival food and the ever-popular Wiener Dog Derby!

Azle FCCLA Craft Fair expected Oct. 3

Azle High School FCCLA will host its fourth annual Craft Fair Fundraiser Saturday, Oct. 3, at Azle High School. The event will feature vendor booths throughout the cafeteria, gyms and Hall of Fame Commons, along with food trucks outside the stadium.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will support FCCLA programs and activities. Vendors interested in participating can find application information through DFW Craft Shows or by contacting FCCLA adviser Natasha Deramee at [email protected].
