Reward offered in shooting of alligators at nature center

A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered by Operation Game Thief for information that leads to the conviction of those involved in the shooting of three alligators at the Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge.

According to the reward notice posted to Facebook by Operation Game Thief and Texas Game Wardens, at least three alligators have been shot at the nature center between May and July. One of the alligators survived, but the other two died and their carcasses were abandoned left to waste.

At least one of the alligators was shot with a crossbow bolt.
