The Azle High School Lady Hornets opened the 2026 volleyball season with a busy weekend of scrimmages.
The Lady Hornets hosted Springtown, Tolar and Lake Worth for their first scrimmage of the season Aug. 7 at the AHS gyms. Varsity, junior varsity and freshman teams took part in the scrimmage.
The four-team scrimmage gave the Lady Hornets their first opportunity of the fall to compete against players from other schools after opening preseason practices and tryouts earlier in the week.
