Azle cross-country opened its season Aug. 7 on Azle ISD’s new course located behind Santo Forte Junior High.
Several surrounding schools participated in the season-opening meet, called the Clash of the Classes.
The meet used a different format from a traditional cross-country race. All seniors, boys and girls, ran together, followed by the juniors, sophomores and freshmen.
