The city of Pelican Bay could receive additional funds from property taxes this next fiscal year — even if it adopts a no-new-revenue tax rate.

During a regular Pelican Bay City Council meeting Aug. 11, Mayor Tamra Olague said she was finally able to present the proposed tax rate after receiving the city’s tax rate calculations from the Tarrant Appraisal District.

She said that after reviewing the city’s de minimis, voter-approved and no-new-revenue tax rates, she recommended the council adopt the no-new-revenue tax rate of 0.703847 per $100 valuation for the 2026-27 fiscal year.
