For more than 30 years, residents and businesses around Eagle Mountain Lake and along the Trinity River have volunteered to clean up the areas surrounding the waterways during the Tarrant Regional Water District’s annual Trash Bashes. The events have helped remove more than 500 tons of trash and debris from TRWD’s water supply lakes and the Clear and West Forks of the Trinity River in Fort Worth.

TRWD will host two area Trash Bash events this fall along the Trinity River in Fort Worth and around Eagle Mountain Lake.

EAGLE MOUNTAIN TRASH BASH

The Eagle Mountain Lake Trash Bash will take place from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12. An after-party for volunteers will follow from 10 a.m. to noon and will feature refreshments and family-friendly entertainment.

Participants must register by Friday, Aug. 21 and select their T-shirt size. Groups or teams registering multiple participants should indicate the total number of shirts needed and specify sizes. T-shirts are not guaranteed for incomplete registrations or those submitted after the deadline.

T-shirts not picked up during early packet pickup will be given away during the after-party on a first-come, first-served basis.

Early packet pickup for the Eagle Mountain Lake Trash Bash is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11 at TRWD’s Eagle Mountain Lake office at 10201 N. Shore Drive in Fort Worth. It’s just south of the spillway located on Wells Burnett Road.

TRINITY RIVER TRASH BASH
