Hornets turn attention to Aug. 20 test against No. 7 Decatur
Defense stands out in early-morning scrimmage
Hornet head coach Wilson Rigg talks to the No. 1 offense as the scrimmage begins.

Because of the heat, the Azle High School football intrasquad scrimmage was moved to Friday morning, Aug. 14, giving the Hornets an early start and their first chance to test the new system in a scrimmage.

The freshmen kicked things off at 6:30 a.m., while the varsity and junior varsity started a little after 7 a.m.

The defense returned interceptions for touchdowns and made things difficult for the offense.
