The Azle Hornets opened the home portion of their team tennis schedule with a pair of convincing victories before dropping five matches later in a busy stretch to begin the fall season.
Azle started Aug. 4 by sweeping a home doubleheader, defeating Alvarado 17-2 in the morning before earning a 15-4 victory over Peaster in the afternoon.
The Hornets controlled the matchup against Alvarado from the start, winning 17 of the 19 individual matches. Cheyanne Hamilton and Josh Perez were selected as Azle's game ball recipients following the victory.
