AHS cross-country teams place second at Kennedale
Azle High School’s varsity cross-country teams each finished second at the Kennedale Wildcat Run.

Azle High School’s varsity girls and boys cross-country teams each finished second overall Friday, Aug. 14 at the Kennedale Wildcat Run, while the Hornets’ junior varsity boys captured first place as a team.

Returning state qualifier Jazmin Neri led the Azle varsity girls with a second-place finish in the 5K. The sophomore was one of six Azle runners to finish among the top 20.

Freshman Samantha Bevan placed ninth, junior Daelyn Young took 11th place and sophomore Alexa Baker finished 12th. Junior Maddie Kindlinger placed 16th and junior Marilyn Rubio finished 19th.
