One of Azle’s largest annual community events, Sting Fling, buzzes back into town the second Saturday in September, drawing thousands of people to Azle’s Main Street for a parade, vendor shopping, festival food, a car show and the Wiener Dog Derby.

This year, the parade on Main Street at 9 a.m. will kick off the festival, which is free to attend. Vendor booths at 404 Main Place and along Main Street will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. A children’s area will be set up on the green space near the entrance to Central Park. A $5 wristband is required for each child. Registration for the Classic Car Show opens at 9 a.m. with an awards presentation at 2 p.m. The Wiener Dog Derby will begin at 10 a.m. at the entrance to the Azle Memorial Library. Festival T-shirts will be available for purchase at the event.

The theme this year is “Bubble Bash,” and Mr. Bubbles will have a trailer in the middle of Main Street, where he will perform bubble shows throughout the day.
