Azle council adopts $40M budget, higher tax rate

After multiple weeks of crunching numbers and listening to public concerns, the Azle City Council has made its final decision regarding the budget and property tax rate for the 2026-27 fiscal year.

During a special meeting Aug. 24, council members adopted a roughly $40.07 million budget and a de minimis property tax rate of $0.674703 per $100 of taxable value.
