Popcorn Players opens stage to local communities

The Popcorn Players bring actors and volunteers together from communities across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, offering people from a variety of backgrounds a place to take part in local theater.

The group is now preparing for its September performances of “The 39 Steps,” opening Sept. 18 at the Azle Arts Association theater, 1012 Southeast Parkway. 

Joshua Holden is set to direct the spy-thriller comedy, marking his second time sitting in the director’s chair for the Popcorn Players.
