In an unusual Thursday night matchup, the Azle Hornets went on the road and defeated the Irving MacArthur Cardinals 49-41 in a thrilling, high-scoring game Sept. 10.

The visiting Hornets produced several explosive plays, including touchdown passes of 59 yards, 53 yards and 70 yards from Azle quarterback Auston Morgan.

On the night, Morgan completed 17 of 28 passes for 419 yards and five touchdowns as the Air Raid offense delivered its biggest performance of the young season.
