The Azle Lady Hornets, fresh off their tournament in Orlando, Florida, opened district play Tuesday, Sept. 8 at home against Chisholm Trail.
The Lady Hornets wasted little time downing the Lady Rangers in three sets, 25-16, 25-18, 25-16, to start district play 1-0.
Azle established control in the opening set with a 25-16 win, then continued the momentum in the second. Chisholm Trail made the second set the closest of the match, but the Lady Hornets still pulled away for a 25-18 victory.
