The Azle Hornets made the trip to Community High School in Nevada Friday, Sept. 18, and came away with a 42-14 win, improving their record to 3-1 heading into district play.
Quarterback Auston Morgan completed 15 of 20 passes for 239 yards and two touchdowns. Senior wide receiver Brayden Combs was Morgan’s top target, catching eight passes for 147 yards to lead the Hornets.
The Hornets’ running game showed some life as well, rushing for 241 yards. Kaden Haas led the ground attack with 114 yards.
