Azle Volley-dads president Eric Yochum started the group three years ago after his youngest daughter, Abbie, made the Azle varsity volleyball team as a freshman.

What started as a group of fathers supporting the varsity team has grown into something larger. The Volley-dads are a group of fathers who volunteer their time to help support the entire Azle volleyball program, from seventh grade through varsity.

“Really, we’re doing seventh grade through high school,” Yochum said. “We’re trying to help build a program. That’s the goal, so it’s not only affecting high school kids or varsity kids. I think we have a dad whose daughter is in the sixth grade.”
