Volunteers and contractors across the Azle area rolled up their sleeves and got to work Oct. 9-10 for Servolution Network’s 20th semiannual Good Neighbors Blitz — restoring hope to 53 households in the process.
Held twice a year — once in the fall and once in the spring — the Good Neighbors Blitz assists elderly, low-income or disabled homeowners who are unable to make their own home repairs.
While the program has been bringing home revitalization to area residents since 2015, this year’s Fall Blitz was described by Servolution’s assistant director Maria Rivera as being both “historic” and “legendary.”
