Azle native and author Andrew Greer returns to his hometown Sunday, Nov. 8 for a book signing celebrating the revised softcover edition of “More Than a President: Sundays with Jimmy Carter.” The book features 15 Sunday school lessons taught by the former president between the 1970s and 2019.

Azle residents will soon have their second opportunity in just over a year to be transported back to the 1970s without even having to leave town — or use a time machine.

Hometown author Andrew Greer will officially return to his old stomping grounds Sunday, Nov. 8 for a book signing and local release of the softcover edition of his book, “More Than a President: Sundays with Jimmy Carter.” Beginning at 4 p.m. at The Reading Rabbit Bookshop, 13006 S. Farm-to-Market Road 730, the event will include two brief songs from Greer, a Q&A moderated by the Rev. Russell Clark of Azle Christian Church and a brief reading from the book by Greer himself.

The event will take place a little more than a year after the initial launch of Greer’s hardcover edition in October 2025. Last year’s event, held at Azle Christian Church, drew more than 100 attendees who enjoyed Greer’s live music performances and an exclusive introduction to his newly published book.
