A call to pray

It’s here again! On May 1, Azle’s National Day of Prayer luncheon will once again be celebrated at The Orchard Event Venue in Azle. The event begins at 11:30 a.m. but organizers recommend arriving early to get good seats and enjoy the entire program. The ceremony is scheduled to conclude at 1 p.m.

Jason’s Deli lunch boxes will be served to the first 200 attendees and pizza will be available to those arriving later. The Azle High School Chorale will perform once again. In 2024, a record crowd of more than 200 people visited The Orchard to share their faith and participate in the event’s activities.

Keynote speaker Bill Killough holds master’s degrees from Texas Tech University and Texas Christian University, is a United States Army veteran and former Army chaplain with 30 years of military experience and 35 years of pastoral experience. Killough serves as the senior pastor of Silver Creek Methodist Church in Azle and is a presiding elder in the Global Methodist Church.
