Azle couple sees cost-saving measures in Servolution Blitz

Rosaura and her husband, 72-year-old disabled army veteran Clinton Zimmerschied, are getting a new lease on life after having their home repaired by volunteers at an April 11 Good Neighbors Blitz.

The couple has lived in a 27-year-old pre-manufactured home since coming to the Azle area and have long struggled with old drafty single-pane windows. The windows let in noise from the neighborhood and contribute to high utility bills — which present a major problem for the couple given their fixed income.
