Azle donkey basketball a big hit

Last Tuesday, Azle High School was the site of a basketball game to remember.

The April 29 donkey basketball game, made possible by Dairyland Donkey Ball, sold tickets and concessions to raise funds for Project Graduation 2026. Four teams comprised of Azle teachers, staff and AHS juniors participated. The teams: “Shrek Yourself Before You Wreck Yourself” (black), the “Ba Donkey Donks” (green), “Rowdy Reds,” and “White Swarm,” went head-to-head to earn the title of top donkey ballers. After eliminating the competition over several rounds, the White Swarm came out on top.
