Attorney Veronica Chavez Law won the race for the open District 7 seat on the board of trustees for the Tarrant County College system. Chavez Law earned 52.01% of the 12,237 votes cast while competitors Cary Cheshire and Hunter Crow earned 29.52% and 18.48%, respectively.
District 7 covers parts of southern Azle, Lake Worth and other areas surrounding Fort Worth. The board is comprised of seven elected trustees who oversee operations and set the overall direction and policies for the TCC system over six year terms.
