Edwards holds school board seat

Voters within the boundaries of the Azle Independent School District had a chance to shape the future of education in the Azle area.

Three seats were up for grabs during the recent May 3 election, but ultimately only one race was contested.

Board President Bill Lane and Place 5 trustee Jeremy May both held on to their seats without competition. Place 7 incumbent Jeff Edwards faced off against Lisa Rettew, chief administrative officer of Luther King Capital Management and a grandmother to Azle students.
