National Day of Prayer draws crowd to pray

The National Day of Prayer luncheon in Azle drew another large crowd to fellowship over a meal and pray together for our nation and community.

During the May 1 luncheon at The Orchard Event Center and Retreat more than 200 attendees gathered to foster unity, faith and community connection.

David Shaffer, director of Sonshine Ministries and chair of the National Day of Prayer in Azle, opened and closed the event, acting as master of ceremonies.
