Many Azle students are better prepared to pay for their college educations after last Friday.
Azle High School seniors gathered in the school’s auditorium along with their parents, teachers, district administrators and members of the community to recognize scholarship recipients. The academic top 10% along with the class’s valedictorian and salutatorian were recognized during the May 16 ceremony.
“To the recipients, today, we are proud of you,” AHS Principal Nate Driver said during opening remarks. “All the time and effort and hard work you have poured in has not gone unnoticed. Today is a moment to celebrate how far you’ve come, but also a reminder that this is just the beginning.”
