Residents of Coral Road in Pelican Bay gathered and gawked outside their homes after the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team made a showing in the area.

The Pelican Bay Police Department was serving an evidentiary search warrant on a property in the area and asked the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office for assistance. TCSO did not disappoint, arriving in force, with SWAT and other law enforcement agencies in tow. Pelican Bay Chief of Police Brad Anderson said the organization decided on its own what sort of manpower to bring to the situation. The many agencies present took the opportunity to get some shared experience on the job.

“Training is a big thing and working with other agencies,” Anderson said. “We have a great relationship with the sheriff’s office, Fort Worth PD, Azle PD, Azle ISD, we all work, you know, help each other out as much as possible. And you know, it never hurts to get out and run through something like that.”
