2015 AHS grad joins Hornet staff after coaching stint in Mansfield
Azle High School welcomes back a familiar face this fall as 2015 graduate Jamie King returns to join the Hornet coaching and teaching staff. King will serve as the outside linebackers coach for the football team, lead the ninth grade boys basketball squad, and teach math on campus.
King brings three years’ experience from Mansfield ISD, where he worked at the middle school level. A multisport standout during his time at AHS, King excelled in both football and basketball before moving on to play quarterback at Grambling State University. He later transferred to the University of North Texas, where he earned his degree while also competing as a linebacker.
